The amla, beetroot, ginger and curry leaves are a good immunity booster shot, said Dr Priyanka Rohatgi, chief clinical dietician, Apollo Hospitals, Bangalore. With vitamins like C, K, A, B-complex, and E contents, the magic drink helps make your skin look younger and tighter,' said Dr Rohatgi. Agreed Dr Archana Batra, dietician, and a certified diabetes educator and said that the ABCG hair hack is the most convenient way to achieve healthy hair at home. 'The advantages of drinking juices, applying it as a mask or oil, or combining them are numerous,' Dr Batra said.

Amla
Amla contains the micronutrient vitamin C which is essential for synthesis of collagen which helps in hair synthesis, said Zoya Surve, dietician, Bhatia Hospital Mumbai. Tropical application of amla powder increases blood flow in the scalp due to the presence of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients aiding in hair growth.
'This amazing berry is an excellent way to cure hair loss caused by hormonal issues as pure amla is also an inhibitor of 5-Alpha reductase enzyme,' said Dr Batra.
Surve added that amla can also be consumed regularly as a condiment such that amla powder can be added in vegetables, gravies and curries.
Beetroot
According to Surve, beetroot contains nutrients such as vitamin A, vitamin C, potassium, iron, folate, magnesium which stimulate hair follicles thereby accelerating hair growth. 'Due to its high potassium, iron, and electrolyte value, it assists in repairing weak hair and lowers the risk of breakage. The vivid red color of this vegetable, gives the hair a natural tint and intensifies its shine,' Dr Batra said.
Beetroot can be incorporated in diet in the form of salad (raw, sauteed, boiled) or juices. It can be consumed regularly as it also aids in blood flow, increase in immunity, and helps in digestion, Surve noted.
Curry leaves
Curry leaves contain vitamin A, vitamin B and antioxidants which help in cells regeneration thereby increasing blood flow and hence aiding in hair growth, elucidated Surve.
'A good oil massage stimulates the hair follicles, which speeds up hair growth. Because of their anti-fungal properties, they protect the scalp from infections. Curry leaf oil can be used to treat dry and frizzy hair,' said Dr Batra.
Curry leaves can be incorporated in diet by using it preparation of vegetables, gravies or decoction can be consumed with another supporting ingredient, added Surve.
Ginger
Ginger is also enriched with vitamins and minerals which encourages stimulation of hair root and follicles thereby increasing hair growth. Tropical application of ginger juice on the hair roots increases blood circulation in the scalp aiding in hair growth also it helps to prevent dandruff, said Surve.
'Ginger juice can be used as a hair cleansing agent. It also contains magnesium, which stimulates hair follicles to produce new hair. The high vitamin B6 content regulates oxygenated blood flow into the scalp, stimulating hair follicle renewal,' said Dr Batra.
Ginger is incorporated in diet in the form of pastes or crushed while preparation of gravies and vegetables.
